With globalization supply chain complexities has increased several folds. Supply chain control tower, a central hub for all the data, connected with each and every supply chain intermediaries, where data input by any one part will be visible to everyone in real time. Let’s take the example of LinkedIn. LinkedIn is one the most innovative technology: How it developed an entirely new information management model as opposed to local contact management. Now a new job offer, promotion, a job change, new skills update reaches everyone in our network instantly within seconds and as a single version. Supply chain control tower applies the same idea to enterprise systems that will benefit all the concerned participants just by the simplicity of one update. The underlying principle of the control tower is to think at a macro level beyond the limits of one’s organization. Data at the entire industry level is mapped and patterns are analyzed to find out the effect of any particular event on say the cash flows. Visibility of future events gives you the tool to measure its impact by assimilating disperse data points. | URI: | https://repository.iimb.ac.in/handle/2074/20250 |
