dc.description.abstract | Tourism, presently, is one of the most significant and growing sectors contributing to the global economy. The orientation and scope of tourism has moved from just an adventure hike in the country side to a much larger business catering to a global audience looking for cultural diversity, expanding boundaries and enhancing international relations. Technology and innovation have this industry into new horizons. Still many nations and the states/regions within them are not doing good business compared to the successful ones. In this context, a researchers needs to focus on the attention paid towards each individual traveller by the tourism industry in each of these countries and states. Tourism policies and their implementation form the backbone of industry. They differentiate between a limping industry and a flourishing one. This project aims to study the tourism policies of a flourishing and an upcoming state in India with an international perspective and analyse the gaps in them and come up with recommendations accordingly. | |
