While most of the information search is done before a consumer walks into a brick-and-mortar store, there are some cases in which a consumer goes to a retail store directly, evaluates a product and then searches for information before making the purchase decision. The proposed in-store intelligent sales assistant system aims to reduce the product knowledge gap by providing information about product features, its reviews and comparisons, thus enabling the shopper to make quicker and informed decision about purchase. The intelligent sales assistant shall save time for customers by pinpointing the exact location of desired product within the store- enhancing the shopping experience for time-starved customers. The system shall also serve the purpose of in-store customer engagement- advertisement, promotions about products, new product launch and fashion trends can be displayed.
