Smart city means making urban life comfortable and making living standards better. Services are provided in ways that cater to the consumer's ease of use. Smart cities know what they want to be; they have an overarching economic vision based on a true assessment of their strengths, challenges, and opportunities. Smart cities will harness the power of technology to bring the economic vision to fruition. On an implementation front by overlaying existing infrastructure with intelligent software and sensors, it could be turned into an intelligent system and connect it to a larger system i.e. city to Smart city. The vision consists of three parts Productivity: A city’s economic vision must support aggregate economic growth and promote efficiencies throughout the public and private sectors. Inclusivity: Must support opportunity for all firms and citizens Resilience: Must support a more sustainable built environment. Simply put in management terminology a smart city should be Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time bound Smart cities are often oriented towards a luxurious life style and comfort of citizens.
