dc.description.abstractThe retail e-commerce sector in India is booming and is one of the fastest growing markets. Although the online retail industry constitutes only 0.6% of the total retail industry in India, it is expected to grow to 3% by 2020E. The cumulative e-retail sector sales are currently $14bn (as of Dec’15) and is projected to grow at a CAGR of 50% to reach $55.26bn by 2018E.1 The average B2C e-commerce sales per digital buyer in India is expected to reach $ 724 in 2016, up from $ 597 in 2011. The major players in this field are Flipkart, Snapdeal, Amazon, Jabong, Paytm, etc.
