Huge budget allocations are made in the Parliament and the State Assemblies towards these schemes which are intended to uplift the downtrodden, help the needy and prevent any kind of discriminations for a better future. A lot of studies have been done in the past towards the outcomes of such schemes but none talks about how these schemes are communicated or implemented at the grass root level. This study focuses and examines how people – especially the intended beneficiaries of the schemes are communicated about them and what do they perceive them. These findings also highlight the importance of the dedication and hard work of the implementers at the field level for communicating, implementing and running the schemes. This study takes two of the most popular schemes – Bhagyalakshmi and Stree Shakti Scheme as the basis, and offers insights about the real needs and the specific benefits people look into the scheme. | URI: | https://repository.iimb.ac.in/handle/2074/20632 |
