Healthcare services for all

Abstract

Healthcare in India is one of the largest sector both in terms of revenue and employment. It is presently worth $100 Bn and is expected to grow to $280 Bn by 2020, a CAGR of 22.9% . Despite the high growth, healthcare in India is facing multiple problems. The major ones being the low supply of good quality healthcare services, the high cost of treatment, accessibility challenge as major hospitals are situated only in metro cities etc. While the government and private sector have been slowly increasing the supply of hospitals and doctors, the huge demand has led to high cost and limited access to quality healthcare services to a large population.
