Project development at Xsysys technologies

Abstract

As a Belgian exchange student in Bangalore, the IT center of India, I thought it was an interesting opportunity to learn more about the IT industry and more specifically about outsourcing. This is why I contacted Carl Dujardin, the Belgian CEO of Xsysys Technologies, which is an offshore development center for the Belgian parent company Deduco based in Bangalore. Together with Carl we analyzed the current situation of Xsysys Technologies and determined the possible growth options for the future. Finally it became clear that starting a new business unit within the existing company is a sustainable growth strategy for the future of Xsysys. This is the objective of this CCS project. As the world has become more and more globalised for the last 10 years, companies should always look out for new opportunities and never settle for the status quo of their current activities. This is the reason why India has seen a wave of off-shoring ventures for the last decade. Nevertheless few Belgian companies have made the jump towards this appealing story of the world’s new IT center. The Indian IT-sector has transformed drastically for the last few years and has arrived to a certain stage of maturity. Western companies start to outsource ever more and more complex processes to high quality Indian information engineers. Hence low cost employees are not the only driver anymore for companies that want to outsource their IT projects to India. In order to stay fit, every company should start to scale up and get engaged into the global way of doing business.
