Abstract: The objective of the CCS is to study the relationship between exchange rates and monetary policy considering the relevance of impossible trinity in India. The focus will be on the 2002-2007 period during which there was a huge surge in capital inflows, high rupee appreciation and high inflationary pressure. We plan to study the causality relationships between the various factors surrounding this issue such as FIIs, exchange rates, inflation, money supply, foreign reserves and so on.
