The economic and commercial linkages are an important component of India’s bilateral relations with France. Both Indian and French companies are increasingly looking at each other for doingBusiness and Making Investments. France is ranked 5th in the list of India’s trading partners among EU countries (after the UK, Belgium, Germany and Italy). Indo-French bilateral trade has been growing over the years. However, the IndoFrench trade has declined by 31% in 2009 mainly due to the economic crisis.
