We analyzed these firms and selected 6 firms for primary study, the criteria for selection mainly being diverse business model and dissimilar revenue model functioning in various sectors in order to arrive at a generalized result rather than a sector specific result. We looked into 4 commonly accepted Business models Chicken and Pig model, Model on the basis of day to day operations, Model on the basis of asset utilization and Free business model, and classified the firms in these models to find some interesting results and trends common across all sectors. Finally, we came with a framework which will help to analyze the effectiveness of a given business model or the market offering of an enterprise and help in locating both strengths and weaknesses in the current offering of the start up, vis-à-vis both its competitors and the existing market offering. | |
