Abstract: Greening of supply chains is becoming increasingly relevant with climate change capturing attention in the political, social as well as business context. More and more companies are striving to bolster their corporate social responsibility aims, more so because the consumers are asking for it. Today, companies are increasingly moving from becoming merely conscious to becoming proactive in their thinking towards a greener planet. The triple bottom line concepts of People, Planet and Profit have gained wide acceptance across the globe.
