Effective Supply Chains are very important for a firm to remain competitive in the market. Synchronization between network of activities i.e. from supplier end to the end consumer without compromising on maintaining optimum quality, lead times and efficiency has become a must. As a result, procurement, a primary determinant for the organization’s relationship with suppliers becomes very important for effective supply-chain management (SCM).1 There is an overwhelming consensus regarding electronic commerce growth over the next few years2. Electronic Procurement System or EPS is an important element of E-Commerce. Eprocurement has become a great promising technology and an important enabler for achieving a flexible and responsive supply chain3. It is an essential tool for obtaining or sustaining competitive advantage in today’s global marketplace. Although E-procurement is considered to provide substantial benefits to the adopters, actual adoption of it in Indian manufacturing enterprises remains limited.
