dc.description.abstractThe project aims to assess the impact of negative interest rates on corporates taking the case study of Switzerland (implemented for currency stabilization) and Japan (implemented for spurring economy). In the process, this report will also analyze implementation disparities of sub-zero interest rates across economies, effectiveness of monetary transmission channels in case of unconventional monetary policies and study compensatory actions taken by central bank to curb the side-effects of negative interest rate.
