dc.description.abstractClose to two t hirds of the current working population in India will reach retirement by 2050, thereby indicating that almost a third of the Indian cit izens in 2050 will be retired senior citizens. All this, while, as stated in the recent Economic Survey, the life expectancy of Indians will increase over the upcoming years. The Survey states that increasing retirement age is important for the current pension system to sustain.
