Keywords: | Augumented reality;E-commerce;AI;AR | Issue Date: | 2021 | Publisher: | Indian Institute of Management Bangalore | Series/Report no.: | PGP_CCS_P21_229 | Abstract: | E-commerce has revolutionized the way people do business in India. The Indian ecommerce market is expected to grow to US$ 111.40 billion by 20251 up from US$ 46.2 billion in 2020. During the Covid digit. edias has a boost which has fueled this industry to be more tech savvy. Thanks to the 'Digital India' initiative, the number of internet connections in India increased substantially to 782.86 million in April 2021. Metropolitan regions accounted for 61% of all internet connections with almost more than 95% of those connections are wireless. Almost half of those who shop online come from small towns, while the other half comes from the eight main cities. This definitely indicates that eCommerce is bypassing one generation of retail. Flip kart, Snap deal, and Amazon are the leading participants in the Indian eCommerce market. The three are vying for control of most of the income pie, not for profit. There have been big purchases, mergers, and turning between these clans' wars. Myntra was bought by Flipkart, and Tradus and Yebhi changed their business structures. As the market becomes increasingly competitive, only those who can separate themselves from the competitors will be able to survive. | URI: | https://repository.iimb.ac.in/handle/2074/21737 |
