Cities matter. They are the engine of the global economy and are already home to more than half the world's population. Passenger mobility in cities is now an important area of research in decision sciences and analytics. For the urban passenger, the connectivity at the last mile with the dominant public transit systems in a city has ass. d critical significance. This project identifies the key issues related to the adoption and usage of the modern public transport system in the city of Bangalore. The project looks closely into the Bangalore Metro transport for the intra-city commuters. We identify the important parameters such as convenience, afford ability, and safety that influence user preferences. Bangalore still prefers personal vehicles over the metro due to the unavailability of infrastructure. Demographic factors such as age, gender, and average household also influence user behavior.
