In recent times, there has been a rising trend of fmns practicing sustainability in their businesses. However, currently the sustainability claims by any company is purely based on the fmn 's assessment of the self Thus, a lack of an objective method in which one can evaluate any finn's sustainable action with a non-biased lens and qualitative depth may result in fulse claims by the finn. Hence, a framework is developed which holistically assesses a firm's sustainable claim and basis objective and transparent results qualifies it as a green company. For any initiative claimed, after analysing the logic behind a firm's sustainable initiative i.e why it undertook the said initiative and by which mode, the claim is passed through a test which considers a multitude of objective factors, and the result of this step tells if any initiative actually benefits the environment or just claims to do so. The framework, in whole, concludes how to verify if a company is sustainable in true sense or only on paper. Finally, if a firm's sustainable action is not linked to profits, recommendations through which a firm can align its action to its growth objective are proposed.
