The firm's profit increases as the market size increases because of access to the large market. This in turn would increase the spending of the firm on new technologies and processes, which would increase the quality of the product. Along with this, the firms will have access to the international market with respect to the resources and cutting-edge technologies, which the local firm lacks. These benefits are transferred to the local people of the country as it gives them access to better quality products, increase in employment as the local/international firm will hire more local people etc. India has become president of G-20, wherein it must bring impact inform of po licies which solves problems which are usually faced by both developed and developing countries. One of the important issues to be addressed is of Trade and Logistics and Government of India (GOI) can play a role in providing solution by showing the impact of the polic ies and schemes introduced in the local market. In this report we would be first discussing the trade and logistics of Ind ia with respect to the challenges faced by all stakeholders, the schemes that the GOI have implemented to overcome these challenges, the expected benefits of the schemes, the perceived benefits by few industries and the future steps of pivoting the existing schemes or adding new schemes to address the issues faced by the firms and the gaps in this industry. | URI: | https://repository.iimb.ac.in/handle/2074/21999 |
