The project aims to understand the lessons learnt from the pilot run in 4 states of India. The pilot was run in 8 districts of these 4 states. In four months it has led to creation of more than 200 Village Level Entrepreneurs. These four months of experience has thrown numerous challenges and demonstrated the potential of rural markets. Based on the understanding of the challenges and the opportunities a national-level scale-up strategy was to be put in place. In the second month this strategy was to be implemented in one of the focus states. The results produced from the second month of implementation will demonstrate the success or challenges for the strategy.
