D or Lifestyle Retailing Business Division of ITC is an internal institutional customer for the Personal Care Products Business (PCPB). Wills Lifestyle stores which come under the purview of LRBD also form one of the major channels through which the personal care products are sold. But, the supply chain process set up for these stores is not efficient and suffers from multiple issues ranging from stock outs at certain stores, huge pipeline inventory and product obsolescence. The project deals with identifying the root cause for the issues and setting up efficient supply chain processes and review methodology with right level of inventory at each node and further establishing linkage to production planning. At a broader level, the project also involves setting up collaboration between the two businesses through review mechanisms.
