A&D Manufacturing is yet to flourish as an active industry in Oman. Supported by the new “Partnership for Development‘ (PFD)” policy and appetite for diversification, the industry is reshaping fast. Oman is rich in resources like raw materials and cash, and the only factor pulling it back is it’s capacity and capability in Engineering Services, Aero structures, detail parts IT and System & Equipment. Sourcing from Oman is driven by Market Access ,rare resources and risk management capabilities. It ranks low for Airbus Group in sourcing for value for cost, Even though manufacturing Labor Rates remain competitive even in year, lack of skills is a setback.
