This study involved analyzing market situation and telecom industry. This project also discussed key trends in the Indian telecom industry, their drivers and the major impacts of such trends affecting mobile operators. In this project I have discussed the growth drivers, opportunities, and future outlook of the Indian telecom sector to identify growth opportunities for Aircel in the market. I have turned my focus to Value Added Services (VAS) which is the key growth area for future and a major contributor for differentiation in the telecom market. I have analyzed the SME segment which is not yet tapped in Indian market by any of the operator. I have looked into the needs of SMEs and main challenges to provide them solutions.
