dc.description.abstractIndian Charge Chrome Limited, a 100% export-oriented unit, is involved in the production of charge chrome since the year 1990.The Company is also having a captive power plant to ensure uninterrupted production. The product is basically used as an alloying metal in steel industry which is undergoing recession in foreign countries. This has resulted in lower production of charge chrome and subsequently lower capacity utilisation of power plant. The project was aimed at finding the feasibility of selling the surplus power available to Orissa State Electricity Board or other industries in the State. It dealt with study on both technical and commercial aspects of generation and selling of power in the State.Finally, recommendations regarding selling are highlighted for the Company.en_US
