dc.description.abstractIn the today's dynamic and turbulent business environment, there is a strong need for the organizations to become globally competitive. The survival guide to competitiveness is to be closer to the customer and deliver value added products and services in the shortest possible time. Organizations are very keen on reducing their project time and cost. To meet requirements of today's competitive business environment, organizations should thrust upon achieving improved delivery performance, decreased lead times within the enterprise and improved efficiency and effectiveness. Quality at Avasarala Automation is in par with international standards. But delivery consistencies are very poor. Every customer complains about Avasarala's delivery. Because of this we are loosing some of our potential customers. Organization is aiming to achieve Rupees 200 crores turnover by the year2005. To achieve this goal we need to organize and equip ourselves to meet the expectation of our customers. Objective: Over a period of time completion of projects as per schedule has become a problem. This study is undertaken to analyse the reasons for the schedule slippage and suggest corrective measures.
