Benchmarking annual report disclosures with best?in?class listed entities; ICICI prudential life insurance

Abstract

This report is based on analysis of ICICI Prudential’s annual report and presents recommendations for disclosures to be included in future annual reports of ICICI Prudential Life Insurance. The recommendations have been made after benchmarking the annual report with existing industry standards and reporting methodologies adopted by listed entities both within and outside the insurance industry. The report aims to identify the best in class disclosures by different companies and hence key recommendations are accompanied by examples with snapshots of annual reports produced by other listed entities. The project scope involves understanding the scope of the relevant disclosures, benchmark these disclosures with listed entities and provide suggestions to be implemented into annual reports starting from FY 2012 report
