Labour markets in india: equity and economic research; Barclays Capital

Abstract

The internship program at Barclays Capital was a great experience where I acted as an employee in equity research. My job was to explore not just equity but also economic research in India. The economic research division works with both the equity and debt teams in order to come up with a view on the trends in the financial markets and general economy. My particular project was to look at the labour markets in India, and come up with some observations that would be interesting to clients. Securities research is a discipline within the financial markets. We are known most generally as "analysts," "research analysts," or "securities analysts".
