The value chain analysis identifies the key focus areas where the companies need to look at for making their business profitable and also increase their efficiency. The service market competitors’ study gives a view where the market is placed currently and what are the options available for cognizant to enter the market. The Cognizant’s competencies and its mapping in the focus area puts up a clear picture that Logistics management and optimization of distribution network are the two areas which fit best for Cognizant to enter the market. The products market study helps in creating options through which Cognizant should build competencies of those products and provide services in this industry. The total market potential as per the analysis comes out to be 4.25 Billion USD in the two areas selected which is a very attractive figure. Some of the competitors are present in this area but with the past experience of handling some of these kinds of projects in other industries and Cognizant’s technological capabilities and efficient workforce will help the clients to build trust and confidence with Cognizant.
