Innovation ecosystems offer different consortia orchestrating innovation, in which future value appropriation by partners raises concerns at the earliest stages of innovation. This case study extends current understanding of value distribution and misappropriation by describing the two phases of a multilateral innovation process defined by a co-innovation consortium in aerospace, orchestrating a wider innovation ecosystem. The co-innovation consortium could not avoid problematic preferences arising from complementary but asymmetric roles and expertise in the innovation ecosystem. Neither could it eliminate misappropriation risks generated by these problematic preferences distributed among the partners involved in multilateral innovation projects in the … | URI: | https://repository.iimb.ac.in/handle/2074/13969 |
