A Systematic review of studies on the relation between personality trait and career success

Abstract

This paper attempts to take the results of studies previously conducted to investigate the relationships between personality traits and career success and give a definitive verdict on the topic. It primarily looks at the effect of personality, as measured by the Big Five characteristics, on academic success and/or professional success. It also looks at aligned behaviours like ethical decision making and factors like self-efficacy or motivation.
