Study of societal aspects for contract workers at IIMB

Abstract

IIM Bangalore campus hosts almost 200 contractual workers in different functions such as the campus security team, classroom maintenance team, horticulture team;students mess management and students hostel maintenance, etc. Through this study, we’ve tried to highlight some of the problems faced by the contract workers on the campus to give a few actionable suggestions. For our study, we limited our focus to the five verticals mentioned above. We interviewed around 15 workers from different streams.
