Synchronization between network of activities i.e. from supplier end to the end consumer without compromising on maintaining optimum quality, lead times and efficiency has become a must. As a result, procurement, a primary determinant for the organization’s relationship with suppliers becomes very important for effective supply-chain management (SCM).1 There is an overwhelming consensus regarding electronic commerce growth over the next few years2. Electronic Procurement System or EPS is an important element of E-Commerce. Eprocurement has become a great promising technology and an important enabler for achieving a flexible and responsive supply chain3. It is an essential tool for obtaining or sustaining competitive advantage in today’s global marketplace. Although E-procurement is considered to provide substantial benefits to the adopters, actual adoption of it in Indian manufacturing enterprises remains limited. | URI: | https://repository.iimb.ac.in/handle/2074/21131 |
