Abstract: To plan a program for arriving at least logistics cost for shipping lubricants to various locations from Blending Plants. The current supply cha in of the Lubes products at HPCL has a lot of inefficiencies leading to a higher logistics cost and lower margin subsequently. While the items get shipped from Manufacturing location to 13 Mega Warehouses and 50 Branch Plants (Depot/COOs), there exists multiple redundant routes leading to several criss-cross movements. This leads to higher kms travelled by trucks and higher warehouse management cost as well.
