Longevity of organizations: an exploratory study to develop a framework for longevity of organizations

Abstract

This article hypothesizes that longevity of an organization is directly related to its ability to dynamically change its entropy level, to willingly get into a state of disequilibrium at various levels to reinvent itself. To enable us to analyze longevity from this perspective, this study also provides a framework.
